Thanks to the huge crowds that came out to celebrate the Santa Fe River on a perfect Sunday, RiverFest was the best ever! As were the songs; nine new ones this year. We needed nine first places because the quality gets better and better. Congratulations go to winners Ellen Bukstel, Mike Manetz and Alivia Hunter, in that order.
And we thank Rhonda Long and Sanna Saare — co-coordinators of RiverFest and all the hardworking volunteers who made this possible.
And President Kristin Rubin, who probably spent more hours on this than anyone else.
And thanks to Rum 138 for hosting this event, which gets bigger and bigger as we go.
This will be a short version of RiverFest, as your historian will depart for the North with no time to process the many photos. Look for another post in a couple of weeks where we will highlight our volunteers and supporters.
