Join Our Santa Fe River paddlers as we glide over shallows, poke around swallets and spin through rises. We will poke into Poe for a swim , Lilly to reminisce , Jonathan for a quick dip and end our journey at Rum Island Spring. This is an easy, approximately four hour Pick’n’Paddle from High Springs Boat Ramp off of 441 to Rum Island on Saturday August 31st at 9 am. We will be observing the wildlife, plants and general condition of the waterway as well as pickin’ up trash along the way: Pick’n Paddle

  • If you have your own boat, drop off your boat at the High Springs Boat Ramp off of 441. Someone will stay and watch our boats while drivers park at RUM Island. There is a $5 park entry fee. From there we will caravan back to launch site.
  • If you need to rent a boat, contact RUM 138 before Aug 23, transportation to the launch and pick up from Rum Island is included in the fee. Our Santa Fe River members get a 15% discount.

RSVP HERE to let us know you are coming, and if you want the member discount on equipment. The ticket also includes a waiver. Your phone number will let us text you with any last minute updates.

Bring:  Drinking water (re-usable bottle please), hat, sunscreen, bug spray and a bite to eat. Wear clothing you can swim in, as well as sun and rain protection. If you are bringing you own boat, remember your, paddle, whistle, and life jacket.
