BlueTriton (ex-Nestle) continues the despicable and sometimes false advertising tactics of the old Nestle by introducing their new “elevated” water with the name of Origin. They sneak the debut into an “art” venue to attract the “cool” crowd, creating a class-conscious consumerism one step above your average street-level bottled water drinker.
And they picked actor/car racer Patrick Dempsey to tell us how great this water is, because he is a Maine native, where Origin comes from. So the young water-drinking crowd can go the “monkey see – monkey do” route and identify with and emulate their cool hero/celeb.
BlueTriton pledges to use ONLY recycled plastic for Origin water (under one gallon,) but somehow, because of past Nestle lies, I am not convinced. It will take some proof before I believe it just because they write it. Even if true, they will have their empty bottles garbage in our streets, rivers, road ditches forests and beaches. And some in our landfills and in our water.
