OSFR has long opposed injection wells to dispose of waste water. This is akin to the easy solution of dumping garbage into a river so that is disappears.
Manasota-88 lists many good reasons for not doing so, the main one is that scientists do not know what will happen and we have absolutely no assurances that the waste water will not contaminate our aquifers.
If contamination happens, we cannot correct it.
We strongly urge you to express your opposition to Mosaic’s proposal before the September 16 deadline.
Piney Point remains the blatant proof of the incompetence and failure of the FDEP in controlling the phosphate industry.
