“Giving the River a Voice” Hike

SFR/L.Awesome/Nov/JT

Join us this Saturday, Dec 14th at 10:30 am at the recently opened Little Awesome Preserve in Fort White for our first “Giving the River a Voice” hike.  This will be a mostly quiet hike, just over one mile through a beautiful section of riverfront conservation land.

The hike will be led by Jodi and Hannah in the “Council of All Beings” style.  We will circle up for introductions and talk about the challenges our river and springs face before we set out. We will give a brief land acknowledgement and grounding meditation to set an intention to connect and listen to nature during the hike. This preserve was just opened to the public and there are a lot of quiet reflective areas as well as incredible river features and views.

We will hike the approximately 1.5 mile loop.  Then we will regroup and share any experiences we heard or felt during the hike.  Please join us as we listen to the river.

Please wear comfortable shoes and bring water bottles. It is relatively easy hike but there are many roots along the path. Tickets are free and donations are accepted.
