I’m writing to invite you to take your springs advocacy up a notch, and join the Florida Springs Council in Tallahassee to speak to the legislature for Florida’s Springs.
Whether you are a seasoned advocate or it’s your first time at a podium, we encourage you to come with us to the Capitol when the next opportunity arises. Because of the way the legislature gives notice of upcoming committee meetings, we do not know what day we will need you.
By signing up using this link, you’ll receive information from us when it’s time to hit the road. You’ll join executive director Ryan Smart, the only lobbyist in Tallahassee working solely on springs issues. We’ll bring you up to speed on the issue, provide tips and support, and together present a united voice for springs.

The photos above are from 2019, when about a dozen springs advocates met us at the state Capitol to speak before lawmakers in a committee hearing, urging them to amend and strengthen what is now the Clean Waterways Act.
Some were experienced advocates, but many had never spoken before a group of decision-makers before. It was important to have people who know and love the springs there to represent them, and we look forward to helping more of you have your voices heard.
Best,
Brenda Wells
