With deepest sympathy we have lost one of our own this week.
If the Santa Fe River was threatened, Jill McGuire was always one of the first people we would call to activate community members against impending harm. Working with Santa Fe Lake Dwellers was always special to the work of Our Santa Fe River organization. Her roots in activism in her community stemmed from shared work in staving off impending development harm by collaborating with OSFR.
Our organization and many of its board members worked in solidarity with her through Minimum Flows and Levels and BMAP meetings and discussions.
Jill was active on many causes: the Sabal Trail Gas Transmission Pipeline, stopping fracking, RV parks and development projects, preventing proposed phosphate mining in Union and Bradford counties and working to stop several bottled water permits on the Santa Fe River over two decades.
Jill will be remembered for her ever-ready willingness to step up and do more than her part in making our planet a better place for all.

Jill was always cheerful and always ready to engage. She will be missed.
