I Love Manatees But I Don’t Bother Them Valentine Paddle
Our February OSFR paddle is Sunday, Feb 12. Meet at canoe launch, Ichetucknee Spring (head spring) 10AM, and takeout at SR129. There could be manatees in the Ich if we can spot them, but they should surely be parked at the confluence with Santa Fe. State Park costs $5 per paddler. We will drive our vehicles to SR129 bridge where Rum138 will shuttle drivers back to put-in for $10 each. The paddle should take about 5 hours, 6 + with shuttle. Bring lunch and liquids but no disposables allowed on the river within the state park. No wrappers, bottles or cans. Plastic food containers and thermos okay. Please be on time so that you don’t miss the shuttle. If you need to rent a boat, call Rum 138 (386) 454-4247.
