This short video of the Santa Fe River taken a few years ago. The 75 mile long Santa Fe River is host to many species of birds, reptiles, fish, mammals, amphibians, crawfish, and mussels. The diversity of plant and wildlife within our river is partly why our Santa Fe River matters so much to so many of us.
What we can do to protect the Santa Fe River:
- Reduce water usage in our homes and landscape
- Minimize fertilizer use: don’t apply during rainy periods.
- Maintain Septic tank: pump out every 10 yrs or upgrade
- Become a member of
Together we protect our Santa Fe River.
