Sooth into the week with a lazy float within of the cypress forest within the Hornsby Springshed. This footage was taken when the river levels were high, currently this area is dry. This area of the Hornsby Springshed is fed by River Rise, Treehouse, Darby, and Hornsby Springs, all of which are running low, see the 1 yr plot from the SRWMD gauge taken from the High Springs Boat ramp at 441.

This springshed is also listed as impaired and not meeting it’s Minimum Flow Levels (MFL) that are required to sustain wildlife habitat.

What we can do to protect the Santa Fe River:
- Reduce water usage in our homes and landscape
- Minimize fertilizer use: don’t apply during rainy periods.
- Maintain Septic tank: pump out every 10 yrs or upgrade
- Become a member of
