The upper Santa Fe River appears serene and untouched. Its steep banks and hawthorn formation soils skirting the Cody Escarpment. A tannic spring, convened by majestic cypress trees, crest its crown. May that our watersheds be protected from development. These staunch guardians of the river secure the earth and slow rising waters.
