
This story reads like Florida where Canadian citizen F. Stronach bullied his way into damaging the Silver River Springs, and where Swiss-owned Nestle damages the Santa Fe River by extracting too much water. Here Twin Minerals is owned by Antofogasta, the Chilean copper magnate.
Only in Minnesota the story has a happier ending, thanks to Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland who was able to squelch this totally bad idea. We wonder why she could not do that to protect the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in Georgia and Florida? She has written a letter opposing this mine, which went unheeded by the Gov. of Georgia.
